“I used to hate walking into the women's department of stores because those fitted clothes never fit me right, so I began shopping in the men's section. My complaint was they always make women's clothes to accentuate boobs and hips that I don’t have, so I'll just wear oversized men's clothes. Then I would get mad when someone would mistake me for a man!

With Antonia by my side we walked into Macy's and she immediately spotted a pair of pants and a blouse and told me to try them on. We headed into the dressing room and the pants and top fit me perfectly. I was amazed! I didn't think it was possible for me to wear women's clothes and feel comfortable in them both physically and emotionally. I have to say this is now my favorite outfit. When I wear it, people tell me these clothes were made for me and I look like a model. Me, really? Cool!

This whole process was quite easy and empowering for me and now I am so glad I did it. A few months after shopping with Antonia my dad died unexpectedly and in the rush to get packed and out the door to catch a flight home, I had that perfect outfit in my closet to take - one less thing to worry about. I delivered the eulogy for my Dad's funeral too, which is a very hard thing by itself - and being in comfortable great looking clothes really helped me access the courage to deliver my eulogy powerfully.
